1. Introduce yourself just in 2 sentences.
My name is Daniel Scocco, and I am 25. I started working with blogs and websites in 2005, and today I have a company that provides Internet marketing services.

2. What is the Internet for you?
Along with the computer, the Internet is the single most important innovation that we have seen on Earth. It is already changing the way we communicate, work and live, and we are just in the beginning.

3. How long have you been working with WP?
I tried to build my first blogs manually with HTML pages. It was a heck lot of work, and soon afterward I discovered WordPress, which made things a lot easier.

4. Why and when did you start creating something new by yourself?

When I got my degree, I was left with this huge document that I had written for my thesis, on the Innovation Management topic. I had put a lot of effort into it, but probably only 3 people would ever read it: me, my dad, and my teacher….
Instead of letting it sit around gathering dust, therefore, I decided to create a blog, chop off the document, and publish it online.
That is how it started.

5. What is your goal in doing this?
My initial goal was only to share my ideas with other people.
Today I make a living with the Internet, so I have some business goals too.

6. Is programming and writing in html, php and other languages your main activity or you are involved in something else too?
I don’t program yet, although I am learning and looking forward to doing it.
I focus mostly on the business aspects. That is, I get ideas for products, services and websites, and I transform them in reality. Most of the real work is outsourced to freelance coders, designers, writers and so on.

7. What are you currently working on?
My latest project is www.onlineprofits.com, which is basically a training program for people who want to learn all about online marketing and to start a business on the web.
We had an initial launch in January of 2009, and we got over 200 registered members. I am planning to re-open the program in September of this year.

8. What could you advise to those who have just started blogging?
First of all pick a niche that you are passionate about. If you choose a topic just because you think it is a profitable one or because you see other people having success with it, you will inevitable run out of ideas or get bored.
Other than that you just need to focus on producing unique and useful content. If you have those two factors, the rest will follow naturally.

9. What are your main tips to become famous among internet audience?
If you want to become famous you should work on your personal branding. Apart from having a popular website, therefore, you should also try to get your face name on as many places as possible.
Using social media is another good strategy for this purpose.

10. Do you have any WP development future plans? (Could you share some with us?)

11. What are your favourite theme and/or plugin and why? (Could you give a link? Let others see it)
It would be Akismet – http://akismet.com/
Every WordPress blog comes with it by default, but it is really one of the most important plugins. Try disabling it for 10 minutes and you will see the amount of spam that you would get.

12. Does money paid you make you work harder and better or you appreciate something else?
Being paid for doing what you love is one of the best situations.
My ultimate goal goes beyond making money, though. I want to build something that will positively affect the life of as many people as possible. That is what motivates me to work hard day after day.
